Hutzler Reading Room in Gilman Hall

The Hutzler Reading Room (aka The Hut) is a 24/7 study space in Gilman Hall with library carrels, big tables, and various seating options.

  • Hut South (Gilman 238) is a Near Eastern Studies, History of Art, and Classics Research Room reserved for graduate students, faculty, and staff. J-card swipe is required.
  • Hut North (Gilman 230) houses the Krieger School’s Writing Center and Learning Den.

Hodson Hall

Hodson Hall’s open lobby areas and first-floor reading room now offer library carrels, large tables, and seating, in addition to large windows, natural light, and ample wireless coverage.

  • The building’s third-floor boardroom will re-open as dedicated graduate student study space by mid-August.

George Peabody Library (Peabody campus)

Located about 3 miles south of Homewood campus in Baltimore’s historic Mt. Vernon Cultural District, George Peabody Library offers quiet study seating in one of the world’s most beautiful libraries. It is served by the Hopkins Shuttle. Please check library hours here.
