Ever wonder if a game vibes with your sign? Then look no further. The LSD (Ludicrous Systems Development): A Psychedelic Happening Construction Kit made in 1966 is the game kit for you. A centerpiece of our new Countercultural Ephemera Collection, this game kit represents a brief moment in time when LSD usage and party games intersected.
So just what is it? It’s a psychedelic puzzle with no rules and no solution. There are twenty game pieces printed with pretty groovy décor. Cards included were not identical set to set, so while you never knew what you’d get, it would definitely be psychedelic. Alas, the kit only had a brief moment in the sun during the Age of Aquarius. The game was discontinued after LSD was officially outlawed in the US in late 1968.
