Recall a Checked-Out Item

Library patrons can recall an item checked out to someone else. A notice will be sent to the patron who has the book asking him or her to return it as soon as possible. For Eisenhower Library books, the patron has up to 10 days to return it (other JHU libraries may have shorter or longer recall periods). When the item is returned it will then be held for the patron who requested it.

Use the JHU Libraries Catalog to look up the item you wish to recall. Simply click the blue request button in the holdings information of that item, as shown below.
