Full borrowing privileges are available only to current JHU faculty, students, and staff. Partial borrowing privileges may be available to some patrons. These privileges include: - Access to the holdings of the Eisenhower Library and its shelving facilities at the Libraries Service Center
- The loan of up to 50 items at any one time upon presentation of a valid MSEL borrowing card
- A six-week loan period, with a guaranteed loan of 10 days for recalled materials.
- Two renewals, each for a six-week period, unless an item is recalled
These privileges do not include use of the Interlibrary Services department, remote access to online databases, or onsite access to databases restricted to non-profit scholarly use only. Fees for partial borrowing privileges: - JHU spouses, dependents, and same-sex partners - University-level card (includes borrowing at the MSEL, Friedheim, SAIS, Welch, Montgomery Library Resource Center, and Washington Library Resource Center): no fee
- JHU Alumni
- MSEL-only card: $100 annual fee
- University-level card (includes borrowing at the MSEL, Friedheim, SAIS, Welch, Montgomery Library Resource Center and Washington Library Resource Center): $200 annual fee or $100 semi-annual fee
- Corporations - MSEL-only card: $500 annual fee
- General Public - MSEL-only card: $200 annual fee
Other affiliates may be eligible for borrowing. Ask the Circulation staff for specific borrower eligibility information. |
