Avant-Garde Periodicals:
Fin-de Siècle, Dada, Surrealism...

"...little reviews, avant-garde reviews, are the very life of literature.  You say that their consideration would be
'vital to anyone who might want to study the evolution of literature'; I will go further:  they represent this evolution
itself; they are both the symbol and the reality of it..."  Edouard Dujardin.  Souvenirs et opinions varies, (December 1924):  138.

The Sheridan Libraries collections include a wealth of these ephemeral but valuable witnesses to the birth and development of the avant-garde in art and literature, in original format in Special Collections, as well as in reprint, facsimile, and microform in the general collections.
