Most of the resources in History of Medicine are located in the Historical Collection of the Institute of the History of Medicine at the Welch Medicial Library. Use a bibliography. To find them, go to the library catalog. Put the word "bibliography" in as a subject keyword, and put a word in as a title keyword or author keyword, such as "ecology" or "helmoltz."

The British Library receives a copy of every publication produced in the UK and Ireland. The collection includes 150 million items, in most known languages.

RLIN is the online catalog of the "Research Libraries Group," which includes the collections of major research libraries, archives and museums, historical societies, and international book vendors. It is updated daily. The RLIN catalog lists books, serials, archival collections, manuscripts, maps, musical scores, sound recordings, films, photographs, posters, computer files, electronic resources, and more.
It includes records with Arabic, Cyrillic, Chinese, Hebrew, Japanese, and Korean, and transliteration. There are also records for 19th-century imprints, 15th- to 18th-century imprints, and microfilm.
The Vatican Library has an online catalogue that can be searched, in English and Italian. There are also links to "Treasures of the Library" (in English) and "Vatican Secret Archives" (in Italian).
