The voyages of the H.M.S. Challenger and H.M.S. Beagle opened up new branches of science and added immense amounts of knowledge to known science. The library has many documents and materials from these expeditions.
We have a collection of materials donated by Joe Kaufman, the former General Plant Manager of Baltimore's Southern Galvanizing Company from 1951 to 1977. The collection includes books and pamphlets on galvanizing, electroplating, metal finishing, zinc, metallurgy, and related topics.
