Getting Started in the JHU Libraries


Access to library databases from home or laptop:

Before accessing the licensed databases through the JHU libraries' website, you must initially configure your computer through one of the methods on the remote access page, in order to be recognized as part of the JHU network.  Upon successful completion of that phase, use your JHED ID and password as your user authentication to enter the resources.


Resources for obtaining books on globalization:

Johns Hopkins University Libraries Catalog for books owned by the JHU libraries

  • Alphabetical Subjects Library of Congress search will enable you to browse sets of titles that have the term assigned as a subject heading

Click here to browse sets of titles having the subject Globalization

  • Advanced subject keyword or title keyword searches on your term will provide titles that contain those terms in the book's title or assigned subject classification.
