Retrieving material from the Libraries Service Center (LSC)

The Libraries Service Center is the JHU Libraries' off-campus shelving/service facility. You don't need to go to LSC to get things, we will bring them back to you.

Request Books from the Libraries Service Center (LSC)

Similar to requesting books from Gilman Stacks, use the blue REQUEST button in the catalog to have books delivered from LSC.

 Libraries Service Center (LSC) Delivery Information:

Requested items arrive at the Eisenhower Library at 1:00 pm and 5:00 pm Monday through Friday, and 5:00 pm Saturday and Sunday. Requests made before 2:30 are filled the same day, those made after 2:30 are filled the following day. Books and articles are also delivered to any specified JHU circulation desk. Film and fiche are delivered only to the Eisenhower Library's AV center. Special Collections material is delivered only to Eisenhower Special Collections. Articles of fifty pages or less from journals shelved at LSC are photocopied at no charge. Articles of twenty-five pages or less may be delivered electronically to patrons upon request.

Request Journal Articles from the Libraries Service Center (LSC)

Journal articles from volumes held at LSC can be scanned and emailed to you as a pdf. To have journal articles from Moravia sent to you simply fill out the Libraries Service Center Request Form. This form can also be retrieved from inside the catalog by clicking on the Doc Delivery/ILL tab at the top of every catalog record.

To have the ENTIRE volume of a journal delivered simply use the request button as though the journal volume was a book.
