Approximately 47,000 new dissertations and 12,000 new theses are added to the database each year. Citations for dissertations published since 1980 also include 350-word abstracts written by the author. Citations for master's theses since 1988 include 150-word abstracts. The full text of more than one million of these titles is available for purchase from Proquest in paper and microform formats.
