Print Indexes and Electronic Databases

Many print indexes have been compiled for specific languages or subjects to help researchers identify articles in journals, newspapers, or books. Some are being provided as online databases, many of which require special software for reading or input (e.g., Japanese, Chinese, Korean). The Eisenhower Library does not have resources to subscribe to many at this time, but you may be able to access some through other research libraries.
 
Much of the material from older publications will only be indexed in print indexes. It is a good idea to use a variety of indexes and databases to search for articles, and then to search the catalog for holdings of the publications that contain those articles.

Because "Asian Studies" covers so many disciplines, you can find citations of articles in a variety of indexes and online databases.
