SCI REF QD148 .D531 | Encyclopedia of Inorganic Chemistry. R. Bruce King, ed., New York: Wiley, 1994. (An 8 volume set covering all aspects of inorganic chemistry.) SCI REF QD148 .E351 | Gmelin's Handbook of Inorganic Chemistry. Leopold Gmelin. 8th ed.. Leipzig-Berlin: Verlag Chemie GMBH, 1924- . A collection of critically evaluated data and literature citations. It covers history, occurrence, properties, and scientific methods for each element. Print Volumes. Each element is assigned a separate volume number. These volumes, with supplements, cover the element and all of its compounds with other elements occurring before it in the Gmelin "system of last position." In Gmelin, the elements are given an arbitrary system number beginning with Rare Gases-1, Hydrogen-2, etc. and putting the anion-forming elements before the cation forming elements. This arrangement makes it possible to discuss a relatively large number of compounds even in the earlier volumes. A guide to using the printed Gmelin is available through the Indiana University Chemical Information Clearinghouse. SCI REF QD151 .G56 | Inorganic Chemicals Handbook. John J. McKetta, ed.
