Images and information include over 7,000 advertisements from U.S. and Canadian newspapers and magazines between 1911 and 1955. This web portal of the Department of Advertising at the University of Texas at Austin provides a wealth of information on a wide range of topics in advertising and marketing.
The Milton S. Eisenhower Library has selected videorecordings that pertain to advertising and marketing. Faculty and students may watch them in the library's audiovisual center or make arrangements to view them at another JHU campus library. Perform an Advanced general, title or subject keyword search in the JHU Libraries Catalog for a company, brand or term (e.g. marketing, advertising). Set the material type to videorecordings/DVDs. Use the JHU Libraries Catalog to identify and borrow books owned by the JHU libraries. Try an Alphabetical search to find a specific publication or to browse through sets of titles that contain a particular Library of Congress subject classification. Use the Advanced keyword options (e.g. title, subject, content notes) for more flexibility in searching on your topic.
Use the WorldCat database to identify publications held by other libraries. Borrow them through Interlibrary Services. 1) Use a business article database on this page for information on recent or specific campaigns. 2) Try the following searches for books in the JHU Libraries' Catalog. Advertising expenditures, which supplement the income statement, may be available at the discretion of the company. Advertising expenditures for industries that rely heavily on television advertising (e.g. food or beverage) are better represented.

Advertising Age (http://adage.com) Search for additional information from Advertising Age and other resources through the article indexes below. The library also has Advertising Age in print and on microfiche. - Set up your computer or laptop for remote access to JHU-licensed electronic resources.
- Use an article database below to search on a topic.
- Some articles are available in electronic full-text; some are not. Click on the FIND IT buttons by citations to identify if other JHU resources can lead you to the full article.
- If you want to determine if the library has electronic access to a particular journal, consult the library's E-journal page.
- If electronic access is unavailable through that route, perform an Alphabetical journal title search in the JHU Libraries Catalog to determine if the library has a print copy of the journal (or an alternative access).
- Ask for help from a librarian.
- If you are an off-campus business or A&S graduate student, request electronic copies of articles from print materials we own via Eisenhower Express or the Libraries Service Center form, depending on the volume's location.
- Request articles that cannot be obtained from the library through Interlibrary Services.

Consult the list of Newspaper Resources for additional databases. Search for print subscriptions in the JHU Libraries Catalog if you need to analyze ads, charts or graphics.
