The Acquisitions Committee is a group of volunteers who recognize the importance of the Special Collections' curatorial staff, costs, and academic needs. Each year, 20% of Friends of the Libraries donations are allocated to special collections acquisitions. Through requests made by faculty and graduate students to their resepective Librarian, the Curator of Rare Books finalizes a selection list. The list is approved by the Dean and mailed to the committee. At and annual meeting, the selections are presented and the committee makes its decisions based on the allocated budget. |
