Much was learned about the process including, best practices for gathering attendees, how to schedule meeting times when students are located in different time zones, techniques for collaborating with the Assessment and Telecommunications units, aspects of facilitation, and specifics about how to properly code transcripts. A Streamed webinar called Finding Medical Information Online. Presented by Susan Payne (2010)
This talk provided an overview to three popular and publically-available search engines — PubMed, Medline Plus, and Google. Understanding the search features of each resource will help you locate and evaluate medical information online more efficiently. Beyond comparing these search engines, this talk will explore advanced search techniques, such using PubMed’s saved searches, how to share lists of articles via PubMed, and how to measure how often an article has been cited.
