Our accomplished staff members offer the academic, corporate, and nonprofit sector, as well as individuals, a range of services that help you celebrate an event, build your company brand, and preserve your past. Services include: Oral Histories Securing your organization’s institutional memory through individual interviews provides a rich resource for both reflection and growth. Examples of oral histories—both open and closed—conducted in recent years range from university presidents, provosts, deans, and trustees to the pioneers who initiated Baltimore’s urban renaissance to pacesetters in exploring outer space. Illustrated Publications An illustrated book or report will become a lasting and visible enhancement to your oral history project. Examples of illustrated books edited by HHE director include: Bringing Back the Bay: The Chesapeake in the Photographs of Marion E. Warren and the Voices of Its People; Our Shared Legacy: Nursing Education at Johns Hopkins, 1889–2006; and Johns Hopkins: Knowledge for the World, 1876-2001.

Recent projects include "A Great Vision: Launching Charles Center" for the Downtown Center; and displays for the new visitor center in Mason Hall and the Hodson Trust for Hodson Hall on the Homewood campus of the Johns Hopkins University. Writing and editorial services Our skilled staff has extensive editorial skills to help your organization’s message be clear and effective. Most recently, the HHE director edited and polished Vision 2020: Report on the Status of Women at Johns Hopkins University, before its release and The Harriet Lane Home: A Model and a Gem for the Department of Pediatrics of the JHU School of Medicine. Researching illustrations and archival records Historical records are often chock full of documents, illustrations, and memorabilia that, once analyzed and arranged, can inspire allegiance and determination to uphold or advance your organization’s standard of excellence.
