Historical Manuscripts Collection

 Margaret Burri
Curator of Manuscripts

The Historical Manuscripts Collection, located on A-Level of the Eisenhower Library, focuses on individuals who have been associated with Hopkins.  Access to all historical manuscripts is provided through finding aids and a card catalog in the department as well as RLIN-AMC and the library catalog

The collection is strong in the history of science, especially physics and chemistry, literary manuscripts of Hopkins-related authors, and the history of higher education.  Papers of presidents and early faculty are especially well-represented.

The collection policy for historical manuscripts defines the scope of the collection.  Additional information about access, use and reprographic services is available on the Using Special Collections portion of our website.

Information on the medieval and Renaissance codices holdings are also available on-line.
