International Financial Statistics (CD-Rom) IFS is the International Monetary Fund's principal statistical resource. It presents time series data covering approximately 26,000 economic concepts such as exchange rates, prices, balance of payments, national accounts, etc. Data is available annually, quarterly and monthly. A comprehensive source to federal statistics. It provides detailed abstracts, indexing, and locator information for statistical reports of general research value issued by the federal government since the early 1960's. It includes links to data available on federal agency World Wide Web sites , tables included in the LexisNexis database. Our library will also own most of the material in our microfiche collection.
Database of gender statistics developed by the World Bank's Gender & Development Group (PREM Gender) in collaboration with the Development Data Group in the Development Economics Vice-Presidency (DECDG). The purpose of this database is to provide a one-stop source of statistics and indicators disaggregated by gender.

World Development Indicators Online & WDI on CD-Rom World Bank's database on development data, covering 575 indicators, 208 countries, and 18 regional and income groups. The extensive collection of development data includes social, economic, financial, natural resources, and environmental indicators for more than forty years (1960 to 2002, where data are available). The CD-Rom has additional features and can be accessed through the Government Publications Library.
Agriculture
Food & Agriculture Organization of the UN (founded 1945, headquartered in Rome, Italy) FAO is one of the specialized agencies affiliated with the United Nations. It serves the international community as a source of information on world food, agriculture, fisheries, and forestry programs. Government Publications has been an FAO depository since 1956, many of its holdings date back to 1948.

World Factbook of Criminal Justice Systems Povides narrative descriptions of the criminal justice systems of 45 countries around the world. The original 42 descriptions were completed in 1993. The latest 5 entries including two updated country profiles were prepared in 2002.
International Comparison of Education The National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) supports international comparisons in education and collects and reports reliable and timely data on a variety of subjects including math, reading, science, civic education, and adult literacy.
Energy Information Administration The Energy Information Administration (EIA) is an independent statistical and analytical agency within the U.S. Department of Energy. Includes international sources such as International Energy Outlook.

CIS National Statistical Compendiums Microform collection of statistics published by the national government. that contains yearly summary data for the country as a whole.
