Netscape for Windows Compatibility Issues

This page documents compatibility issues when accessing the Sheridan Libraries Web site with the Netscape Web browser running on the Windows platform.  We are researching solutions to these problems. Our goal is to support all current versions of popular Web browsers; we cannot guarantee that the site will be compatible with older browser versions.

Current version: 7.x
When viewing the site with the 7.x versions of the Netscape browser in Windows, you will notice some blotchy color blocks across the lower part of the top banner, becoming thicker on the right-hand side.

Older versions
Netscape 4.8 for Windows displays with the navigational tabs at the top partially covered. In addition, the tab for the "Ask a Librarian" feature on the left navigation bar is partially covered. The tabs are still functional, but it is necessary to click them near their top edges in the covered portion.

Please feel free to send comments or questions via the Sheridan Libraries Web Feedback Form. We are especially interested in hearing about issues that are not documented here.
