Sheridan Libraries’ Historic Maps

Spanning four centuries, the Libraries’ historic map collections include a fascinating array Baltimore Streetcar Mapof maps–from 16th- century maps depicting early exploration of the New World and the Chesapeake to 19th and 20th-century maps of Baltimore and Maryland.

The new online guide provides and a geographic and chronological tour of maps held at the Eisenhower Library, the George Peabody Library, and the John Work Garrett Library at the Evergreen Museum.  Images of full maps or the cartouche are available for the majority of the collection.

To explore world maps, charts of the Chesapeake Bay, topographical maps, railroad maps, road maps, souvenir and tourist maps, and many more, begin your travels at http://www.library.jhu.edu/collections/specialcollections/maps/index.html
