This display commemorates World Medical Ethics Day by highlighting the importance of caring physicians, as well as the need for continued research in areas such as the doctor-patient relationship. The University’s intellectual home for this field is the Johns Hopkins Berman Institute of Bioethics. The Institute researches bioethics issues; teaches the next generation of bioethicists; and provides policy advice for government agencies, non-governmental organizations, and private sector organizations. The book and DVDs displayed here and others throughout the Eisenhower Library's collection support students enrolled in the Bioethics minor and other classes and activities that include bioethical content, as well as students throughout the University who are working toward careers in the health professions. For more information on the Institute’s work, visit http://www.bioethicsinstitute.org. This display is presented by the Johns Hopkins Berman Institute of Bioethics and the Milton S. Eisenhower Library. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
