$26,000-$32,000

Coordinates receiving and rapid cataloging of monographic materials added to the Libraries’ collections. Ensures the accurate receipt of materials in the Acquisitions module of the Libraries’ integrated library system. Adds receipt and special handling instructions as necessary. Verifies that vendor/publisher has supplied the appropriate materials in accordance with the Libraries' purchase order. Troubleshoots orders with vendors and publishers using a variety of tools. Ensures that appropriate budgets are charged accurately. Reviews outstanding encumbrances and follows up with selectors, vendors and publishers as appropriate. Coordinates loading vendor cataloging records for new receipts into the online catalog. Supervises student assistants. The position reports to the Acquisitions Coordinator.

Qualifications:

HS Diploma with 1-3 years related library experience; familiarity with a Western European language; accurate proofreading skills and attention to detail; excellent problem solving skills; ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

BA degree with OCLC experience, bibliographic control and/or library acquisitions experience.
